Promote Ignite Conference

Pre- Conference Promotion.

The countdown to Ignite Conference is very exciting.
We have resources to help you promote Ignite Conference to your school/ parish community.

Promotional Material

Download our Digital Promotional Pack below, it includes a poster, flyer, promo video, and social media images for you to use.

Speaking to your Community or Event

Depending on your location, it may be possible for an Ignite Conference representative to come to your school, parish, or youth group and speak directly to your young people.

If, however, a team cannot come to you, we can provide information for whoever will speak about the conference. We can send you additional resources to help promote Ignite Conference at your school or parish.

Parent & Parish Involvement

Support from parents, teachers, priests, youth group leaders etc is an essential element to ensuring a successful group experience. We have a sample letter you can use to send to parents, also we strongly suggest holding an info night for parents and teachers to give more information and answer any questions they may have.

Follow Up Post Conference.

The conference may come to an end on the Sunday afternoon, but the faith journey for the young people at your school/ parish or youth group should continue long afterwards. Here are some suggestions for following up with your young people/group afterwards.

Connect

The first step after a “mountain-top” experience like Ignite Conference is to regather and debrief as a group, either each night at your accommodation, on the bus, or on your way home. It’s is also good to have a dedicated event 1-2 weeks after you get home, where you can regather as a group, share stories, encourage each other and share what else might be coming up in your parish or school community.

If you don’t already have a youth group/school connect happening, now is a great time to capture the group’s enthusiasm soon after the conference.

Talk About It

Encourage each person to write out their experience and any commitments they have personally made. If possible, collect these so you can share these stories with your community or perhaps give them back to them in a few month’s time to remind them of this experience. Give some people the opportunity to share their experience at youth mass, school assembly, or a youth group.

Youth Mass

One great way to follow up is to regroup in your local parish for a Youth Mass the following weekend. This allows the delegates to share with parishioners and each other the new life they’ve received, and maybe even begin a consistent Youth Mass going forward. This is especially important if your parish or school has sponsored them/ facilitated fundraising.
